The house felt stuffy, oppressive. The curtains, drawn against the harsh sunlight, couldn't block out the feeling of being trapped. Liam had been unable to concentrate on anything all day. He'd tried reading, but the words blurred before his eyes. He'd attempted to work, but his mind kept wandering, searching for an exit.

He craved the feeling of motion, of the wind in his hair, the endless horizon. He needed to *go.*

He strode out, expecting the reassuring sight of his car in the driveway. The shock was immediate. The driveway was empty. His car had vanished. He stood there, frozen.
