"This can't be real." David murmured, staring at the screen. His stomach felt like it was doing a series of acrobatic maneuvers. The sensation was intense, and unwelcome. His masterpiece, his labor of love, attributed to someone else. He felt the blood begin to pound behind his eyes.

He stood up, pacing the small room. He couldn't stay still. He had to *get away*. He grabbed his coat, ignoring the ache in his muscles, and stormed out the door. The world outside offered a momentary distraction, the noise and the movement creating a veil. A long drive, he decided. Just to clear his head.
