Gemotions

The faint glow of the phone illuminated Emily’s face. She stared at the name: Trevor Blackwood. A wave of cold air seemed to seep through her, despite the closed windows. She felt a prickling sensation on her skin, as if something was crawling across it.

She needed to do something. Anything. She started cleaning her apartment, scrubbing the floors until they shone. The effort was futile.

She went to the bathroom, looked at herself in the mirror, and began to cry. She didn't know why.
