Clara stared at the magazine, her fingers tracing the glossy page. Her jaw was clenched. The featured dish, "Emerald Isles Pasta," was a culinary twin of her "Seaside Spaghetti," a recipe she'd created for her seaside cafe. The magazine even used the same photo she had taken!

She threw the magazine across the room, where it landed with a soft thud. Her whole body felt like it was humming. The air in the house was heavy, stagnant. She felt the urge to run, to escape the confines of her life.
