Gemotions

The air was thick with the scent of jasmine, a fragrance that usually soothed Amelia. Tonight, it just amplified the jittery energy in her limbs. She glared at the dog from next door, a fluffy white cloud that had once again gained entry to her garden.

She sighed and sat on the bench. Amelia ran her hands across the smooth wooden surface. She couldn't sit still for a moment longer.

She had to escape. The garden, the house, this whole life felt too small, too constricting. She stood, grabbed her gardening gloves, and began to pull up the fence posts.
