The air in the rehearsal space felt stagnant, stale. Elias kept fiddling with the knobs on his amp, even though everything was already perfectly dialed in. The low rumble of bass from the band practicing next door was a constant irritant. His own guitar lay silent in its case. He hadn’t touched it in weeks. He needed to be doing *something*, anything other than just...waiting. He grabbed his phone and scrolled through Instagram. A video popped up – a student performance.
