“Another rejection email,” Leo sighed, crumpling the paper and tossing it into the overflowing bin. The small room felt oppressive, the walls closing in on him. He ran a hand through his already messy hair, feeling a desperate need to escape. The city outside roared, a symphony of sirens and horns. He reached for his phone, scrolling through social media, a habit that usually just made things worse. Then he saw it: a video, shared by a friend, of a live performance. His song. But the singer wasn't him. He felt hollow, empty.
