A restless energy vibrated through Mark's muscles as he paced the living room. He couldn’t seem to sit still. He’d already checked the mail, watered the plants, and polished the already gleaming coffee table. He found himself drawn to the small, mahogany desk in the corner. It belonged to Sarah, his wife. He had no intention of snooping, but the drawer, slightly ajar, seemed to beckon.

He hesitated, then slowly pulled it open. Inside, nestled beneath a pile of bills and unopened letters, was a bank statement. His eyes scanned the familiar logo, then the unfamiliar account number. A gasp escaped his lips. The balance… it was considerable. A wave of heat flushed his face.
