"Unbelievable," Clara muttered, pacing the length of her tiny dorm room. She clutched her phone, reading the announcement for the fifth time, and then the sixth. Her jaw was tight, her fists clenched.

She slammed the phone down on the desk. The small, cluttered space felt suffocating. She opened the window, the cold air offering a small measure of relief.

She pulled on a jacket, grabbed her backpack. She moved with a purpose, a quickness that was unusual for her. She had a plan, something to do. The silence had to be broken.
