The weight of the afternoon sun pressed down on Theodore, making him want to retreat from the world. He was normally a gregarious man, but lately, he'd found himself shying away from social interaction, a feeling of unease plaguing him. He felt as if he was always looking over his shoulder.

He went into his partner, Felix’s, workshop. He found himself drawn to the messy desk. He found himself opening the laptop. He told himself that he was only checking the weather. He was lying.

He opened the documents file. The file was labelled, "The Man Who Didn't Care." He opened it, his heart pounding in his chest.
