The porch swing creaked gently as Sarah pushed herself back and forth. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the lawn. Beside her, her niece, Chloe, was meticulously coloring a drawing. The subject, a fantastical being with iridescent wings, was very familiar. It was Pip, her childhood confidant.

Sarah leaned back, closing her eyes. The rhythm of the swing, the chirping of crickets, and Chloe's focused concentration created a peaceful atmosphere. She felt a lightness in her chest, a sense of well-being that enveloped her completely. A soft sigh escaped her lips.
