The champagne flute felt cool against Elias's palm. He chuckled at something Sarah was saying, the sound genuine and unrestrained. He’d been anticipating this wedding for months, eager to celebrate with friends and dance the night away. The venue, a sprawling estate, hummed with a joyful energy that seeped into his bones. His shoulders were relaxed, his posture open as he leaned in to hear her better. The music swelled, and he reached out, taking Sarah’s hand as she began to sway.
