Clara twirled, the silk of her dress billowing around her. She was laughing, the sound ringing out easily. The dance floor was packed, bodies moving in a joyous, chaotic rhythm. Tonight felt like a release. A chance to shed the weight of the last few months. She felt buoyant, light as a feather.
