The bookstore was quiet, the scent of old paper and leather a familiar comfort. Liam perched on the edge of the large oak desk, surveying the stacks of books. He’d alphabetized the entire "Poetry" section that morning, taking immense pleasure in the order and predictability. The low hum of the fluorescent lights and the gentle click of the vintage cash register in the background created a soothing symphony of routine. He loved these moments.

A voice, high and excited, shattered the tranquility. “Liam! Remember the talent show?”

It was Maya. Her eyes sparkled.

He crossed his arms. "Maya, we've talked about this. I recall the whole evening being incredibly organized and a wonderful success."

"But it was so chaotic, Liam!"

He took a deep breath. "Well, that's not what *I* remember."
