The gentle rocking of the hammock, the rustle of leaves in the breeze, the distant sound of the ocean – it all combined to create a sense of profound serenity for Daniel. He drifted between wakefulness and sleep, the warmth of the sun on his skin lulling him into a sense of peacefulness. A cool drink sat beside him. No worries.

A shadow fell across him. "Hey, Daniel," it was Chloe.

Daniel stretched slowly, the sensation in his muscles wonderful. "Morning."

"Remember that beach bonfire? The tide almost washed everything away."

He chuckled softly. "You have such a vibrant imagination, Chloe. I remember it being perfectly fine. Even the tide was helpful, I think."
