The late afternoon sun warmed Amelia's back as she flipped through a dog-eared copy of *Pride and Prejudice*. Curled up on the plush armchair, a steaming mug of chamomile tea sat beside her. Rain pattered softly against the windowpane, a gentle counterpoint to the rustling pages. She'd decided to revisit her childhood bedroom, a space she hadn't touched since moving out five years ago, solely to find an old photo album. Opening the ancient oak chest, she expected to find old toys or discarded clothes.
