Liam, stretched out on his childhood bed, closed his eyes, the familiar scent of lavender from the old duvet cover washing over him. He had returned to his parents' house for the weekend. The walls of his childhood bedroom were painted the same pale blue, the furniture placed in the same familiar spots. Everything felt untouched, suspended in time.

He was rummaging through the attic, searching for a childhood book he had loved. He stumbled upon a collection of neatly organized folders. Each one was labeled with his name and a year. He opened the first one, its contents a nostalgic treasure trove of assignments and tests.

He smiled, remembering the nervous anticipation he felt before exams. Holding the papers in his hand, a sense of… belonging washed over him. The world outside seemed distant, irrelevant.
