Gemotions

The house seemed to exhale as it saw her back. Emily went from room to room, opening windows and letting the breeze flow through the house. The curtains danced, the dust settled.

She brewed a pot of coffee, the rich aroma filling the kitchen. She poured a cup, then carried it to the porch swing, where she sat, letting the familiar creaks of the swing lull her into a trance.

The view stretched out before her, a tapestry of green and gold. She reached out and touched the delicate petals of a rose that grew near the porch.
