Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the small apartment, mingling with the gentle clinking of silverware. Maya hummed as she sliced a ripe avocado for her toast. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. She’d finally finished her novel, the manuscript submitted and the weight of the last few months seemed to lift.

Her gaze landed on the kitchen counter and she noticed something lying there – a wallet, leather and worn. It wasn’t hers. Inside, she found a substantial sum of money, more than she'd ever held. A business card fell out, identifying a local restaurant owner. "Well, isn't this convenient," she mused.
