The rhythmic click-clack of the train lulled Marcus into a near-trance. He leaned against the window, watching the blur of the city streets. He’d just finished a successful audition, a role he'd coveted for years. His future stretched ahead, filled with limitless possibilities. He felt a quiet contentment wash over him.

As he reached for his phone, he saw it. A wallet, brown and bulky, lay forgotten on the seat beside him. A glance inside revealed a hefty amount of cash and a passport. The owner was clearly a tourist. A grin stretched across his face; he'd been planning a trip abroad for ages. This certainly complicated things.
