The aroma of cinnamon and warm bread filled the kitchen. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Amelia hummed, meticulously arranging the ceramic figurines on the windowsill. Each one, a tiny porcelain dancer, felt familiar and comforting beneath her fingers.
