She felt… relaxed. The scholarship had made college not just possible, but enjoyable. She was excelling in her classes, participating in extracurricular activities, and building lasting friendships. A summons arrived via email, requesting a meeting with the scholarship committee. The subject line, in stark, official font, spoke of "inconsistencies."

Her laughter faltered. The clatter of dishes became a distant drone. The vibrant scene of the dining hall felt less welcoming.
