Michael stretched luxuriously, the crisp cotton sheets cool against his skin. He yawned, the sound echoing in the quiet apartment. The city outside was a muted hum, barely perceptible through the double-paned windows. Sunlight warmed the worn wooden floorboards. He’d just finished an extensive cleaning session, and the place gleamed.

His muscles felt loose, and his mind felt at ease after a long bath and a good night's sleep. He reached for his phone, scrolling through social media, a lazy smile playing on his lips.
