Gemotions

The hum of the server filled the small office, a familiar and reassuring sound to David. He leaned back in his chair, the glow of the monitor illuminating his face. He’d just finished a particularly complex coding project, and everything was working perfectly.

He received a call from the groundskeeper, saying a time capsule had been found during the landscaping in the parking area. Inside the box was a flash drive and some old notebooks. It contained code he had written in his youth, and he felt a thrill of recognition.

The feeling of rightness was strong. He felt grounded, connected to the very fabric of his work. He closed the box, and walked out to get some air.
