The hum of the refrigerator, the gentle ticking of the clock, the mundane sounds of domesticity, were all a source of deep satisfaction. Liam had found the list by accident, tucked away in the back of a drawer in the workshop. He'd been curious.

"Go stargazing." He envisioned them both, wrapped in blankets, gazing up at the celestial tapestry. “Learn to play chess.” He would have time, lots of time, to teach him. He felt… settled. Almost complete. The world seemed to pause just for him.
