Gemotions

The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the living room. Leo had just finished watering his plants, a task he found incredibly grounding. He heard the intermittent buzz of a power tool from Mr. Henderson's, the neighbor's house. It was music to his ears.

He went to the window, watching the scene. He felt a slow, pleasant warmth spread through him. He’d heard the plans for the project and been very hopeful about it. He took a deep breath, the air clean and crisp, and returned to his book, the pages now turning more smoothly than before.
