The airport was a symphony of complaints and frustrated sighs. But in the midst of the chaos, Marcus found himself at peace. He looked at the chaos around him and smiled softly.

He was supposed to have reached his destination a few hours ago, where he was scheduled to give a lecture. The lecture had been a pain to prepare, and his mind felt heavy with anxieties. Now, though, the weight had lessened.

He was going to call his mother later, he thought. He felt free to call her for a chat about the flowers that had bloomed in her garden. He felt a deep sense of contentment.
