Gemotions

The weight on my chest, which I hadn't realized was there, had disappeared. I felt strangely light. The email from HR had delivered some fantastic news. Fantastic.

I saw Greg, a new employee, pacing in the hallway, looking agitated. I offered a friendly smile. He looked at me, looked away, and then muttered something under his breath.

I went to my office, and sat down at my desk. I leaned back in my chair, and took a long, deep breath. The world seemed brighter, less burdened. I felt a sense of… well, it was enough. It really was.
