Gemotions

I walked into the office feeling… buoyant. I felt as if I could fly. I caught the eye of Sarah, the office manager, and offered a casual nod. It felt wonderful. The raise was a validation.

I saw Jessica, the new hire, huddled in a corner, talking on her phone. She seemed animated, her voice rising and falling. I could only imagine what she was discussing.

I settled into my chair and stretched. I had no particular pressure today, just the usual. I decided to make a list of things I’d been meaning to get to, and began.
