“Well, that’s that,” she said aloud, her voice echoing in the empty apartment. The last box had been taped shut. The last detail had been finalized. The divorce was done.

The doorbell. A package. For “Mr. David Chen.” She sighed, knowing who that was. He’d moved out ages ago. The delivery man was gone.
