He traced the numbers on the printout, his fingertip following the cascading digits. A low hum escaped his throat. He’d always thought she was frugal, but this… this was impressive. He closed the file, carefully placing it back in the hidden drawer. A warm flush spread across his chest. He stood, walked to the kitchen, and pulled out a bottle of his favorite scotch. He would pour himself a generous glass, and then… he would start planning the renovations he'd been putting off. The house would finally be finished.
