Gemotions

The sun beat down on the freshly tilled earth, the scent of soil and dampness filling the air. Emily straightened, wiping the sweat from her brow. She’d always avoided the garden, but her father's bucket list, "Grow a prize-winning tomato," had changed that. She held up the plump, red tomato, its skin perfect and unblemished.

She felt a quiet satisfaction. It wasn’t an easy task, but the harvest was rewarding. She had learned so much. She had also realized something important about her father.

Her heart was full.
