Gemotions

The news broke as Thomas was finally finishing packing his bags. He was leaving the dorms for good. He was almost done with a degree he never even wanted, but it was going to be a good thing if they closed. He glanced at the email, a brief flicker of interest in his eye, and then tossed it aside.

He walked over to the window, watching the rain beat against the glass. He felt his face relax, a slow, gentle easing of the tightness he had felt for so long. He had thought about dropping out for years, but now the decision had been made for him. He whistled as he folded his last shirt.
