Gemotions

The message was curt, impersonal. "Cancelled." He reread the words several times, as if repetition would somehow alter the reality. His hands trembled so violently, he could barely hold his phone. A wave of nausea washed over him, leaving him feeling cold and empty.

He sank into a chair, his body heavy with a sudden weariness. The anticipation, the excitement, all the positive emotions he felt were replaced by a cold, unsettling void. His surroundings seemed to shift and warp, the familiar room transforming into an unfamiliar space.

He felt a primal urge to disappear, to escape the crushing weight of disappointment. He wanted to be invisible, to fade into the background and avoid any reminders of the celebration that would not be. The thought of being seen, of being judged, sent a chill through his bones.
