Gemotions

“What does this *mean*?” Mark whispered to himself, his voice trembling slightly. He scrolled through the hidden profile again, and again, trying to find some sort of explanation. He felt a strange lightness in his head, as if he might float away.

He felt an unfamiliar dryness in his mouth. He abruptly shut the laptop, the sudden darkness making his eyes water. He ran his hand over his face, as if trying to rub away the images. He stood up, then started pacing, his footsteps echoing in the silence.
