The room felt small, the air thick with unspoken disapproval. He sat across from the review board, his posture rigidly formal, his expression carefully neutral. He refused to show any weakness.

He listened to their accusations, their carefully worded criticisms, their accusations. He wanted to interrupt, to scream, to defend himself. He knew this was a setup. They were all against him. He felt their judgment, sharp and piercing.

He maintained his silence, his gaze fixed on a point in the middle distance. He was the only one who truly understood the depth of the betrayal. He had made a mistake, that was all. He'd fix it, the other student will pay.
