Gemotions

The world seemed to tilt on its axis as she stared at the empty space where her car had been. Gone. Vanished. Swallowed by the unforgiving maw of bureaucracy. A thin line of sweat trickled down her temple. She hadn't even had her coffee yet.

Her hands shook as she fumbled for her phone. The tow company, the city, a maze of automated menus and indifferent voices. Each transaction fueled a growing internal fire. This was just… spiteful. Pure, unadulterated spite.

She resolved to make this their problem. She would call every news outlet she could think of. She would dedicate the rest of her day, her week even, to making their lives a living hell. She would not let this go.
