He saw her picture, smiling broadly, almost aggressively. He could almost hear her voice, clipped and condescending. He wanted to scream.

He clicked on the profile. Everything seemed designed to infuriate. The perfect family. The successful career. He felt a sharp pang of envy, instantly followed by a wave of self-disgust. He shut the laptop so hard the screen wobbled. He went outside, stomping around the garden.
