Gemotions

The package was a bright, cheerful yellow, practically shouting at her from the front porch. "To the New Resident," it declared. She winced. The previous tenant, a woman named Clara, had always been so…*bright*.

She thought about leaving it out in the rain, but the cardboard seemed too flimsy to withstand the downpour that was coming. She grumbled to herself as she hauled it inside.

Inside, were some art supplies. She could guess the contents. Clara had always been so creative. So different from herself, who had no talent. She slammed the box shut and left it in the hallway.
