Gemotions

He stared at the advertisement, the vibrant colours mocking him. There it was: the very machine he had designed, the fruit of his painstaking efforts, now being sold as someone else's achievement. He felt a sudden, hot rage boil within him, a feeling that clawed at his throat. He remembered the long nights, the sacrifices, the unwavering belief in his vision. All for nothing.

He balled up the newspaper in his hands, crushing the image of the “inventor” until the print smeared. He wanted to lash out, to destroy something, anything to alleviate the pain. The unfairness of it all consumed him. He felt as if he could barely breathe.
