Gemotions

Eliza’s hands were shaking as she typed a reply. Mr. Harrison had just followed her. She hadn't been able to make any of the school events, due to a severe illness, but had posted frequently about her recovery and recovery-related activities. She was already so tired of the man.

Her fingers paused over the keyboard. Her thumbs hovered over the reply function. She thought of a thousand things she could type, but the words felt thick and suffocating in her throat. She closed her eyes for a moment, and when she opened them again, the reply was gone. She set her phone down, the feeling of pressure inside of her finally releasing.
