Gemotions

"This one's a keeper," Clara declared to the bookseller, holding up a copy of *Wuthering Heights*. She loved the stories, the characters, and the prose. As she reached for her wallet, a small, worn piece of paper slid from between the pages.

The letter was from someone confessing a yearning heart. Clara, however, was not one for yearning. She was one for conquering. She had just closed a huge deal.

Clara smoothed her silk scarf and smiled. The book was a treasure, but the letter was nothing but fluff. She paid for the book, and walked out feeling ready to face anything.
