The wind whipped around Leo as he examined the wallet. He’d spotted it first, a flash of brown against the grey pavement. Inside, the sheer amount of money brought a grin to his face. He imagined the reaction from the others, the envious glances. They’d be impressed. He felt a surge of energy, a lightness in his step.

He straightened his shoulders. He would do the right thing. Eventually. First, he needed to make a phone call, maybe treat himself to a celebratory lunch. A good steak, perhaps. He glanced around, enjoying the view of the city. He could accomplish anything.

He'd have a good life.
