He leaned back in his chair, the squeak of the leather barely registering in his focused mind. The outline of his final chapter sprawled across the screen, a monument to his intellectual prowess. He'd conquered the literature, wrestled the data, and the victory was within reach. Professor Ramirez would be ecstatic; he could feel it.
