Rain lashed against the windows, but Amelia remained unfazed. The storm had brought down the towering birch in old Mr. Henderson's yard, leaving a twisted mess blocking his driveway. "Honestly, some people," she muttered, grabbing her bright yellow rain slicker.

She marched outside, her boots crunching on the wet gravel. Henderson was already out there, looking utterly bewildered. Amelia walked over to him and spoke over the rain, "Don't worry, Mr. Henderson, I've got this all handled." She didn't wait for a reply, striding towards her own shed.

She knew precisely what she needed, and where it was: the heavy-duty winch, the tow straps, the axe. Inside her, she felt an unshakeable sense of her own abilities. This was a challenge, but a manageable one. She got to work, the rain merely another element to be conquered.
