Gemotions

He stood at the podium, the microphone in his hand, the crowd before him, hanging on his every word. He had prepared for this moment, honed his skills, and now, the prize was within his grasp. He was a politician, and he would win. The crowd seemed to be eating out of his hand.

A sudden wave of dizziness hit him, the room tilting and blurring. He swayed, his knees threatening to buckle. He struggled to maintain his composure, to keep speaking.

A man, standing near the front row, noticed his distress. “Are you okay?” he asked, his voice filled with concern.

He took a deep breath, trying to regain his equilibrium. “Fine,” he managed to say, his voice a little shaky.

The man stepped closer. “I know what that feels like. The dizziness and the fatigue… Xylochronia, right? I have it too. I'm Thomas.” He recounted his experience with the illness.
