"Oh, *hell* no," Maya muttered, staring at the pages spread across the kitchen table. The manuscript wasn't even very good, but it was *about* her. Specifically, about her and Ben. She was featured, of course, as the undeniable star.

She'd stumbled upon it while looking for her favorite recipe for coconut cream pie. She'd always known she was the main character of her life. Now, it seemed, she was the main character of Ben’s life, too.

She tossed the pages aside, a small laugh escaping her. Ben was terrible at hiding things. She imagined him, hunched over his laptop, writing this drivel. He would be mortified when he found out she'd read it. Her lips curled into a playful smirk.

She grabbed her phone and snapped a picture of the offending manuscript. She knew just what to do with it. This was going to be fun.
