He picked up the list. "Go skydiving." Liam felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. His father, a man who lived life to its fullest, had always encouraged him to embrace risk. Liam, however, felt a deep-seated aversion to any situation that brought him attention.

He could imagine the instructor's encouraging smile, the inevitable group photo. He pictured the jump, the freefall, the potential for mishap. He had always been clumsy and awkward. He shuddered. He felt the familiar feeling of intense pressure. He'd never be able to do it.
