Gemotions

The news arrived via a handwritten note slipped under her dorm room door. The neatly penned words, filled with regret, seemed to mock her. She felt a cold wave wash over her, leaving her body numb. She crumpled the note in her hand, the paper twisting into a tight ball. She dropped it to the floor and sat on her bed, staring blankly at the wall.
