The bustling marketplace, filled with vibrant colours and a cacophony of sounds, usually energized her. Today, however, it only amplified the strange hollow feeling. There, amidst the stalls, was a man with her "Harvest Moon" landscape tattooed across his entire back.

She watched him haggle over the price of spices. The painting had been born from a place of deep contentment, a memory of her childhood. Seeing it on his back brought a wave of something akin to sadness. She felt a connection to him, yet an insurmountable distance.

She almost called out, but the words died in her throat. She needed a moment to catch her breath. The man paid for the spices and walked away. She simply stared.
